UNCTAD TRAIN FOR TRADE E-Course on Trade in Services Statistics

UNCTAD is currently in the process of finalizing an e-learning module on Trade in Services Statistics. This course has been developed and produced jointly by UNCTAD, WTO and UNSD. It has also benefitted from the close collaboration of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Statistics on International Trade in Services. The main objectives of the course are to: Raise awareness of Trade in Services Statistics and its concepts Enhance statisticians’ ability to do their work Help them better understand the Manuel on Statistics of International Trade in Services (MSITS 2010) SADC REGIONAL WORKSHOP ON TRADE IN SERVICES STATISTICS FEB 2016 JNB/SA

The course is composed of 6 distance-learning modules: 1. Importance of Trade in Services Statistics 2. Setting up pre-requisites for data collection and compilation 3. Data sources and compilation 4. Data compilation (BoP STIS) 5. Data compilation (FATS) 6. Dissemination and analysis SADC REGIONAL WORKSHOP ON TRADE IN SERVICES STATISTICS FEB 2016 JNB/SA

First course will take place between the 1 st of March and the 10 th of April with SIECA. UNSD is planning to conduct an e-learning trade in services + face-to-face meeting together with UNCTAD and AUC for African countries sometimes in May and June this year. For more information:
