Questions Answer the questions below with your partner. One person start with question one the other with question two. After one minute swap jotters and add to your partners answer. After another minute swap back. 1.Describe a simple skill you analysed during your course? 2.Describe a complex skill you analysed during your course?

Describing a Simple Skill In the PREPARATION phase I Start up on my toes with my feet together, knees bent and bottom above my heels. I also tuck my chin in by putting it on my chest. During the ACTION stage I reach forward with both hands, arms straight, push forward from my feet and take my weight on my hands. To allow me to rotate I curve my back and keep my legs together. To RECOVER I open out and finish standing upright and still.

In the preparation phase start Standing arms raised lunge forward on one leg, take weight on hands. In the action phase I kicked my legs up, locked arms, snapped both legs together tucked my head in, kept my back straight and pointed toes. Hold balance for 5 seconds. To forward roll out during the recovery phase, overbalance, curve spine, tuck chin onto chest, bend arms and roll out. Finish standing up arms raised above head.

Stages of Learning 1.What are the three stages of skill learning? 2.Match the statements with the correct Stage of Skill Learning. –High success rate. Little thought required when performing. –Work out what the skill involves. Lots of errors made. –Learner can link parts of the skill together but errors are still made.
