This project will be a glove that can control home appliances such as lights, TV, stereo, and other electronics. The OmniGlove will utilize hand movements and gestures for intuitive home automation. This makes it especially useful for those who are visually impaired, along with the average user.

 Our PCB must be able to fit at least the major components on the back of the hand. Microcontroller Bluetooth Transceiver Power Management IC MP3 Decoder 9-Axis Sensory Rotary Encoder MicroSD Socket MicroUSB Socket (for charging)  Other components will be mounted on the forearm if they will not fit on the back of the hand (although we are optimistic that they will fit). Li-Polymer Battery Speaker (unless we have extra room on the PCB)  The glove must be comfortable, remain cool after extended use, and be relatively easy to wear and remove.

Glove Summary: This glove gives US Airforce crewman control over switches and other things without distraction. This glove is the ideal case of what ours would look like. Their glove is able to fit nicely on the back of the hand without sticking out. With our specifications we will not be able to get the glove as sleek. The voice feedback and battery attachment make the size of our glove stick out more.

Glove Summary: This glove is uses gesture recognition to give voice to the mute. This glove is a close fit (haha) to our design. While it sticks out a little more than the airforce glove, it fits everything in a nice package on the back of the hand that would not make it completely unwieldy. With our constraints we estimate our glove will be approximately the same size.
