Project summary 2 Initiative  is planned for 18 months;  is implemented by 5 partners leading by coordinator (ZSPS) with enough experiences, knowledge and professional skills;  is supported by main relevant national authorities. IEE/12/BWI/426/SI – BUSSK

Project summary 3 Aim is to make National Policy of the Vocational Education Improvement in Construction sector to the challenges of the green economy. Main output is to prepare a background for improvement of an existing system of education and training of workforce in the construction and energy sectors to achieve the 2020 targets in Slovakia. IEE/12/BWI/426/SI – BUSSK

Background Contribution of the project BUSSK is substantial because of the crucial skills level of construction craftsmen in area of the low energy consumption of constructed buildings in Slovakia. Primary target groups  the employees of construction companies;  installers of building services equipment;  building supervisors. Barriers relate to the qualification of the building workers which may hinder the country's achievements of the 2020 targets in the building sector. 4 IEE/12/BWI/426/SI – BUSSK

Objectives and main steps Basic objectives :  to analyze the present status of the national legislation and the existing educational schemes;  to identify the problems and to quantify the needs of the industry;  to work out the National Strategy;  to provide the roadmap to deliver vocational education and training, prepare its endorsement and ensure its implementation. 5 IEE/12/BWI/426/SI – BUSSK

Expected impacts  Analysis of the current situation in lifelong learning in the construction and energy sectors in Slovakia;  List of best practice examples of lifelong learning in the construction and energy sectors from Slovakia;  Roadmap for education and training of target group professionals, its endorsement and implementation into praxis.  Summary report on endorsement activities by which the project teoretical outputs will be transfer to the praxis. 6 IEE/12/BWI/426/SI – BUSSK

Already achieved deliverables  Status Quo Analysis was elaborated in cooperation with the National Qualification Platform consists of the consortium, relevant ministries, educational institutions, associations and relevant stakeholders; provides an overview on construction and energy sector, education, training and continuous professional development in Slovak Republic. data used:  review of information published on internet and in printed form;  survey via questionnaires;  interviews with representatives of relevant authorities.  List of best practice examples Analysis provides a document of the 17 best practice examples 7 IEE/12/BWI/426/SI – BUSSK
