School Facts One of twenty-seven schools in Schaumburg School District 54 with kindergarten through sixth grade, located twenty-five miles west of Chicago. Our school serves 540 of the 14,000 students in the district. Our population continues to diversify, we began to question, “What can we do to ensure success for EACH student?”

Why and How Goal Setting Works Why? –Increases motivation which leads to achievement –Enables teachers and students to track and assess progress on assessments How? –Move From Concrete to Abstract Introduce through read aloud and discussion Set a classroom goal Have students set individual goals Share and reflect multiple times in a school year
