Women in Parliament TODAY Election 2012 Total registered candidates 2 967, 778 women = 26,2 %. 200 hundred more women then in 2010 election Elected 24 women out of 150 = 16%

Regional Number of women rises SLOWLY 2001 – 51 women (12,7 % of local governments) 2005 – 59 women (14,3 %) 2009 – 63 women (15,4%).
