JUNE 18 - JULY 13, 2012 For M.V.U.S.D. students currently enrolled Grades 9 to 12 Summer Classes will be held on the Creekside High School Campus Hayes Ave Murrieta, California DATES AND HOURS FOOD AND TRANSPORTATION WHO MAY ATTEND? ATTENDANCE APPLICATION PROCESS June 18 - July 13th See notes under attendance 1st Semester - Morning Session - 7: :45 AM 2nd Semester - Afternoon Session - 11:15 AM - 2:30 PM Bus service will NOT be provided. Student drop off, pick up, and parking will be available. Cafeteria service will be available from 10:45 AM to 11:15 AM only. Summer School is offered only to students currently in grade 9 or higher who need to recover credits. Any student who is absent more than 8 hours per class session will be dropped. No excuses will be allowed. Illness, vacation, and family emergencies are absences and cannot be excused. Please Note: FOUR tardies = 1 hr. of absence. Students should check with their Counselor now to apply for a spot in summer school. There will be no applications accepted after the May 25 th. STUDENTS ARE APPLYING FOR A SPOT IN SUMMER SCHOOL. Traditional COURSES AVAILABLE CREDIT RECOVERY – English I, English II, Themes In American Literature, Senior Subjects: 1 st Non graduating Seniors needing 10 or fewer credits: 2 nd Juniors : 3 rd Sophomores, and 4 th Freshmen MORE QUESTIONS To apply, complete the forms on this brochure, detach and return on or before May 25 th in person to your high school counselor. Summer school classes are highly limited: Students must apply and be accepted. Students interested in the Hybrid Courses must fill out both Hybrid and traditional application forms. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Page 1 Pearson Online Credit Recovery Online students are assigned a 90 minute per-day time slot in the computer lab. Students must attend the lab daily and also work independently outside of class. Students who are not making progress as monitored by the teacher will be dropped. Students taking online courses must have the following technical access and skill set: o Home computer with internet access (Minimum: DSL service) o Computer skill set including: § Basic keyboarding § Attaching and sending documents
