HCG Diet  Daily injections of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG), a hormone released in large quantities during pregnancy.  Severe calorie restriction-only 500 per day.

HCG Diet Claims: Dieters will lose more fat than muscle. Body preferentially burns stored fat, especially fat from the stomach, hips, and thighs. Less hungry or irritable than with other calorie restrictive diets.

Of 24 published medical journal studies, it was concluded that there is no scientific evidence that HCG causes weight loss, redistributes fat, reduces hunger, or creates a feeling of well-being. Any weight loss is contributed to the 500 calorie restriction.

Cleansing  Liquid diet consisting of fresh lemon juice, distilled water, and pure maple syrup.  Drink at least 2 quarts per day for at least 3 days.

Cleansing Claims: Immediate weight loss as your body eliminates stored materials that are not beneficial. Rids body of toxins, mucus and other waste materials in the intestinal tract and major vital organs for improved health and increased vitality.

Detoxification programs are important for maintaining health because their purpose is to neutralize and eliminate undesirable compounds that a modern-day diet leaves behind. This can help strengthen the organs that have to deal with the toxins we ingest each day.

Eat Right and Exercise  Add nutrient rich foods to your diet and limit portions.  Learn which foods are the better choice in social situations and at restaurants.  Do simple toning moves at work and in the car.  Participate in activities that you enjoy, and take the opportunity to try new ones.
