Icebreaker: Introductions Icebreaker: Tell us your name and the meaning or story of your name. Why I am called Nora Gertrude Cotter. What would you call an icebreaker in Lesotho?

Hopes and Expectations On stickie notes write down What are your hopes and expectations for this course What are your fears or worries? What do you hope to learn?

What can you offer to make this happen? What can you offer the group to make all of the above happen? For example What skills do you have? What kind of experience can you bring to the group? What kind of attitude will you try to have? What kind of information can you bring to the group?

Ground Rules How can we all work together to make this as good as we can as a group? EG for me it is important that We start on time Everyone tries to contribute as much as they can People are respectful to one another and really listen even if they don’t agree with a point of view… If there is disagreement then we can all listen to different perspectives One voice at a time – if possible! Confidentiality? What does this mean?

Ground Rules Everyone tries their best Participants prepare as requested If you can’t do an assignment or you can’t make the class…let me know and we can talk about how you can make it up
