Millennium Bridge London
This sleek steel footbridge spans the Thames between St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Tate Modern, linking the north and south banks of the city.
The Millennium Bridge is the first new footbridge to cross the Thames in over 100 years. It was built to celebrate the new millennium and designed to look like a blade of light streaking across the river.
Did you know? The bridge was opened in 2000 but it was shut after just 2 days when people felt the surface swaying as they crossed. This bridge is called „Wobby Bridge” too.
