General Status Extension of MIRS to SSMIS Hydrometeors Retrieval done (RWP and GWP) ECMWF extension done but data not updated. Extend Sounding Validation to SSMIS and to COSMIC data, FRCST, ATOVS Overhaul covariance matrix (clear, cloudy and rainy conditions) done (but might need further tuning) Improve Profile-to-Profile behavior of sounding Work done or close to be done:

General Status Converting an IDL code to F90 Software checking (for robustness) Fine Tuning Biases/Cov/etc to improve sounding performances for SSMIS, N18 and Metop-A Developing a general approach to QC setting based on ChiSq, Lat, Lon, Rain, Ice, QC of TB, etc Surface properties offline study & validation for SSMIS Validation of Surface properties wrt GDAS, ECMWF, ground truth (SSMIS but also N18 and Metop) Surface classification Improvement (esp. for SSMIS) Documentation Updates Work in progress:
