PROVERBS

Kill not the goose that lays the golden eggs.

A bad workman always blames his tool.

Fine feathers make fine birds.

Big fish eat little fish.

A friend in need is a friend indeed.

Birds of the feather flock together.

Actions speak louder than words.

A rolling stone gathers no moss.

Make hay while the sun shines.

He laughs best who laughs first.

It is never too late to mend.

Still water runs deep.

Between the devil and the deep blue sea.

As you sow, so you reap.

Where there is a will, there is a way.

No one is too old to learn.

To lock the stable door after the horse is stolen.

When the cat’s away, the mice will play.

A bird in hand is worth two in the bush.

Little is spent with difficulty, much with ease.
