Major Course Objectives §Create web sites §Know some of Office §Able to specify your own PC §Familiarity with IT terminology §Investigate IT ethical issues §Become familiar with Online methods of learning §Improve ability to research and evaluate sources §Improvement from where you start & participation §AIM: Fun projects you will use later – alternative project suggestions welcome

MS OFFICE Applications + §MS Office 2010 or below l Word - Word Processor l Excel - Spreadsheet l PowerPoint - Presentation Tool l Access – Database Tool §SeaMonkey - Web Development Tool §FileZilla – FTP manager §Windows Explorer – File manager §Google Drawing - Graphics §Google Hangout - Conferencing tool §Adobe Connect – alternate conferencing tool

Computer Equipment Required §NONE §No home PC needed – library is fine l Use library if home PC not working well §MS Office occasionally needed l Free Open Office is okay but not tutorials for all l No need for Open Office if you have MS Office §Instructions mostly for Windows, but Macintosh OS is okay §Submit through moodle first but if moodle does accept your assignment.
