 Product of the Motown Sound  Began as a group known as ‘The Primettes’  Originally from Detroit, MI, the group wasn’t always the most successful.

 As a group, The Supremes were constantly making efforts to become famous.  They even volunteered to do hand claps and back up vocals for this guy:
