The People of Paradise And How They Will Live Their Lives

“They will enter the gardens of Eden, where they will be adorned with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments in it will be made of silk.” [35:33] “They will enter the gardens of Eden, where they will be adorned with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments in it will be made of silk.” [35:33] “He who would get into paradise would be made to enjoy such an everlasting bliss that he would neither become destitute, nor would his clothes wear out nor would his youth decline.” [Muslim]

There are many aspects of the lives of the people of Paradise that we could discuss, but we will focus on four aspects of their lives: Activities Friendships Marriage Gatherings

Some people may ask the question: Will people be married in paradise? Answer:

“Verily, the dwellers of paradise that day will be busy in joyful things. They and their wives will be in pleasant shade, reclining on thrones.” [36:55-56]

The Prophet (saw) said: “The Believer in Paradise will have a tent made out of a single, hollowed-out pearl, sixty miles long, in which he will have wives, whom he will visit in turn, none of whom will see the others.” [Muslim]

Allah (swt) says: "Gardens of 'Adn, which they shall enter, and [also] those who act righteously from among their fathers, and their wives and their offspring..." [13:23] The Believing Woman of this world will be the wife of the Believing Man in the hereafter if she is righteous

What about the Woman that has been married more than once ? There are three opinions amongst the Scholars in regards to this question. The Scholars say: (1) A woman will be married to the last of her husbands (2) A woman will be able to choose (3) A woman will be married to the husband that was the most righteous.

Who are the Al Hooriyan ? The Hooriyan are a special creation that Allah (swt) has made especially for paradise. The Hooriyan are women who are not like the women of this world. Allah (swt) tells us: Verily, We created [their companions] of a special creation…. [56:35-37]

The Prophet (saw) said: "The wives of the people of Paradise will sing to their husband in the most beautiful voices that anyone has ever heard.” [Jaami]

Allah (swt) says: "and they will reside in the high dwellings [Paradise] in peace and security." [34:37] Allah (swt) says: "and they will reside in the high dwellings [Paradise] in peace and security." [34:37]

“There will be no one who is unmarried in Paradise.” [Muslim] The Prophet (saw) said:

Some people may ask the question: What types of friendships will there be in Paradise? What types of gatherings will there be in Paradise? What kinds of activities will the people of Paradise engage in?

“Sleep is the brother of Death; the people of Paradise will not sleep.” [Silsilat] “Sleep is the brother of Death; the people of Paradise will not sleep.” [Silsilat] The Prophet (saw) said:

The dwellers of paradise will eat, drink, and recline on couches, mattresses, and thrones wearing the most luxurious clothes.

Allah (swt) tells us: "...there will be there all that the souls could desire, all that the eyes could delight in…." [43:71] Allah (swt) tells us: "...there will be there all that the souls could desire, all that the eyes could delight in…." [43:71]

"In Paradise there is a market to which the people will come every Friday, then a wind will come from the north and blow on their faces, and clothes, and they will increase in beauty.” [Muslim] The Prophet (saw) told us:

The Prophet (saw) told us: "They will glorify Allah (swt) morning and evening.“ [Bukhari]

Allah (swt) tells us: "And the dwellers of Paradise will call out to the dwellers of the Fire [saying]: "We have indeed found true what our Lord promised us; have you also found true, what your Lord promised [warnings, etc]? They will say "Yes". Then a crier will proclaim between them: "The Curse of Allah is on the [wrongdoers]" [7:44]

“no hatred or resentment among them, their hearts will be as one…. [Bukhari] The Prophet (saw) told us that the People of Paradise will have:

"No false, dirty or vain talk will they hear therein, nor any sinful speech [like backbiting, etc], But only the saying of Salaam! Salaam! [greetings with peace]" [56:25] Allah (swt) says:
