South County Driving for Dreams Campaign

Driving for Dreams Campaign Goals 1. Build awareness of the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation, an organization supporting children battling cancer by funding programs that improve patients’ quality of life, treatment programs that increase survivorship and pediatric medical research dedicated to finding a cure.

2. Sharing personal support for young cancer patients. 3. Raise funds to purchase merchandise helping child cancer patients. Driving for Dreams Campaign Goals

We’re helping kids with cancer because… 13,500 children are diagnosed with cancer every year in the United States. 1 in 5 children diagnosed with cancer will die. Young cancer patients often have a more advanced stage of cancer when first diagnosed. The average age of death for a child with cancer is 8.

An important part of the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation is The Promise Circle, a volunteer group of women who work to maximize outcomes for patient support programs funded or administered by the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation.

As they fight their disease, we will help…How? TWO of The Promise Circle’s service projects are: * “Send A Smile” Greetings… greeting cards we create to send special wishes to the patients.

Our gifts for these special children… * Fundraise for PLAY PACKS … Age appropriate packs of toys/games/activities the patients play with while they wait (a lot!) for their doctor appointments.

The Come From YOU! Money for the Play Packs comes from YOU using your marketing skills in creative ways: Mrs. Springfield—T-Shirt Sales & Bake Sales! Mrs. Mace—Play Pack Donations & Wristband Donations Miss Scott—Play Pack Donations & Campaign Promotion Miss Donnelly—”Store” in Cafeteria, Social Media Promotion, Play Pack Donations
