It prohibits slavery except punishment as a crime December

It gives slaves and their descendants rights. June 9,1868

It granted African American men the right to vote. February 3 rd, 1870

This speech was given at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. The main idea of this speech was to stop the racism stuff and let black and white people to join ands and go to the same school together. It is important because white and black people weren't aloud together and it wasn’t fair. Ad Martin Luther King Jr. wanted to change it. August 28, 1963

Rosa Parks wouldn’t get up out of her seat for a white man, so she got fined and went to jail. December 1, 1955

Jesse Owens is famous for a runner/Olympian. He won four medals beating out all the other athletes. June 1936.

Jackie Robinson is famous for baseball. He was the first African American baseball player. April 15, 1947
