OBJECTIVES To be acquainting with different tools that may be used to obtain small-scale linear measurements (length, depth, diameter, thickness, etc.) To become familiar with vernier calipers.

Calipers Caliper is an instrument with two legs used for measuring linear dimensions. Calipers may be fixed, adjustable, or movable.
