The Story In ancient China, there are four famous beauties have deep affection of the history. They are Xi Shi, Wang Zhaojun, Diaochan, and Lady Yang. Xi Shi lived in the ancient state of Yue, and she was well known as a women of extraordinary natural beauty with a universe appeal. When the state of Yue was vanquished by the state of Wu, the king of Yue was forced to serve the prince of Wu for three years. And after his release, he decided to chose the most pretty women as a tribute to the prince of Wu. Xi Shi was selected to meet the prince, and got the prince’s all attention. Finally, she finished her mission to bewitch the prince, and help the king of Yue annexed the state of Wu successfully. Wang Zhaojun is actually the best known of China’s “political brides”. As to cement relations with the nation of Hun, Emperor Yuan picked Wang to marry with the king of Hun, and got peace between two countries for about half century. Diao Chan plays an important role in the Romance of the three kingdoms. She followed her mission from prime minister Wangyun to charm both men to fight for her, but she dead as a member of clique. Lady Yang was chosen by the Tang emperor, and her relatives all gained unexceptionable treatment. People believed she was harmful for the country, and asked her death. The Tang emperor had no choice but watched she killed herself.

The Memorial The Xi Shi memorial stands in zhuji city, Zhejiang Province as to commemorate her unique story. The memorial was set up in 1986, and finished on October 7 th, It includes garden, pond, loft, and also many complete constructions. The memorial includes culture background, and gives people a strong and truly feeling of history.

The Poetry From ancient China, there are lot poets write poetries for the four beauties. This one is from poet Wang Anshi, which talks about how Wang Zhaojun’s life story based on how she contributes herself for her country to get back the peace with the Hun, and how sad she is while leaving her country. The poetry like that, gives people a perspective to get know the four beauties’ experience and their true feelings, provide a stage to understand them with empathizing feelings.
