If the enemies are right outside and you are hungry, the watchtower has, fresh stored food. The Chinese need to keep a lookout so they peek though the watchtowers window. That is how they protect the Chinese.
Watchtowers A watchtower is a little hideout on top of the Great Wall. They are not as small as you think! The top half was used for a lookout and the bottom half was used for sleeping, sorting food, and weapons. Watchtowers are used for keeping a lookout for enemies.
