Main Point: Reflect on Why Christmas Began and true Reason we need Christmas – because of our inherited sin nature

Genesis 3:14-15 The Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, “Cursed are you above all the livestock and all the wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and dust you shall eat all the days of your life. I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”

Christmas Message: 1 – Celebrates earthly arrival of Jesus Christ, as 1 st step to salvation 2 – Anticipates 2 nd coming of Jesus Christ someday in the future Jesus Provides Life in 2 Ways: 1 – Eternal Life through salvation, the heart of the Gospel 2 – Abundant Life on earth (John 10:10)

Main Theme: Reflect on Why Christmas Began Application: 1- Thank God for gift of salvation made possible because of Jesus Christ 2 – Offer thanks for gifts 3 – Have same mindset of Jesus when He arrived on this earth – Philippians 2:5-8.

Philippians 2:5-8 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
