Students are invited when they meet the 1 st requirement of a 93 or higher GPA. Students will receive an invitation and application via US mail.
Students need to complete application by February 27, 2015 no later than 4:00 PM. Late applications cannot be accepted. A committee meets on a specific date to review applications. Electronic applications cannot be accepted. Students submit completed applications to Mrs. Smelser or Mrs. Lantrip.
Five parts Service Inventory (5 points) Leadership Essay (5 points) NJHS Applicant Essay (20 points) Teacher Recommendations (20 points) NJHS Application Agreement
Students must obtain 40 points out of the possible 50 to become a member of NJHS.
The application will be evaluated by the NJHS Faculty Council. Applicants will receive a letter via US Mail if they are chosen for membership in the DMS Chapter of NJHS.
This acceptance letter will contain: a membership contract; information regarding membership dues; and information about the NJHS Induction Ceremony.
The induction ceremony will be at the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center on April 2, The ceremony starts at 6:30 PM.
