Presentation transcript:

Today was the first day of the Computing networking, and Printing technologies STEM summer bridge. In the printing class, I learned each of the printing machines work, such as the folding machines, and all of the printers. Then, we used the program in design, and we each got to make our own business card with this program. In the networking class, we learned about networks, and how information travels through them and through the internet. We also learned how to make things with wires.

Today, in the printing part of this summer bridge, we learned how to make our own notepads, and logos. My logo was ALC (My initials). In my notepad, I had a picture of a cupcake, and a picture of a chocolate covered strawberry. It was very pretty. In the computer part, we learned about Internet service provides, and how to make an RJ45, it was kind of hard, but it was fun too.

Today in this summer bridge, we all took a field trip to an engineering company called Arinc. At Arinc, we learned about what the people do there, and what their different jobs are. They work with airports, and in this one room they test out different softwares, such as things used at airports, and different kiosks. It was very exciting, and I learned a lot. Some parts o it were a little confusing and hard to follow, but I still understood what was going on, and I learned a lot. We also learned about the printing part of Arinc, and the different things that they do.

Today in the printing part of the Summer Bridge, I finished making my notepads, and I finished my business cards by cutting them out with the cutting machine, and I did it all by myself! I also made a lot of pretty stickers that had pretty pictures on them, it was fun. In the networking part of the Summer Bridge, I finished making both of my rj-45 category 5 Straight Throughs. It was kind of hard, but it was okay. We also networked virtually. It was a very good day, and I learned a lot of stuff.
