Gateway to Literacy Class Rules

You should raise your hand if you have a question.

You should not shout your question out.

You should wait until it is your turn to speak.

You should pay attention in class.

If you don’t pay attention, then you won’t learn.

You should not argue in class.

We should respect each other.

You should take turns talking.

Nobody is listening. Nobody is learning. They are disrespectful.

You should not interrupt. Interrupting is disrespectful.

You should not feel bad about making a mistake.

You should ask a lot of questions.

You should not be shy.

If you need to go to the toilet, you should just go.

If you need to go to the washroom, you shouldn’t ask the teacher.

But you should wait until it is a good time.

You should not be late for class.

But if you are late, you should just sit down and be quiet.

You should organize your binder once a week.

You should review your notes once a week.

You should study hard in class.

You should study hard at home.

You should never give up!

You should be proud of yourself!
