Headlines Implementation of NHD commenced 8 th November 2013 Urgent Care Centre opened 8am 28 th November weeks data too early to be definitive, however; Trafford CCG patient flows and activity broadly in line with NHD activity modelling Initial 12 days data shows overall Trafford patient A&E attends and admissions match projections Attendances at A&Es in line with expectations; however, currently a fluctuation in admissions Ambulance journeys initially low to TGH – now picking up

Partnership working Following the approval to progress, Trafford CCG has continued to work collaboratively with all partners. This has been through the following: 1.Operations group: weekly meetings to ensure the delivery of model Establish monitoring Established communication across all providers

Partnership working 2.Information group: Established to track Trafford patients by acute Track other data including: Intermediate care; Ambulances; and Length of stay. 2.Communication group: Ensure consistent messages to the public Ensure consistent messages to GPs

Winter pressures Agreed winter pressure plans for each acute provider All include Escalation procedures, including if appropriate, when to cancel non urgent elective operations Decision taken when in the best interests of emergency patients Winter pressure DH future Allocation to Lead CCG for acute providers South Manchester CCG allocated £1.5M to help pressure within local system and UHSM Central Manchester CCG allocated £3.5 to help pressure within local system Trafford CCG schemes to be included in both south and Central plans to use these financial resources
