Appalachian Region

Location in Canada The Appalachian region is the Maritimes, Newfoundland and Labrador, and the most southern part of Quebec.

Vegetation The pitcher plant is native to the Maritimes and it eats insects. The insects get trapped in the leaves and drown because the leaves collect water!

Vegetation The sundew plant eats insects as well by getting them stuck to the sticky leaves and the bugs die.

Trees The Appalachian region is home to many kinds of trees including the Eastern white cedar, pine trees, spruce trees, willow, oak, ash, and poplar.

Physical features  Appalachian mountains(most of the land), rocky areas,  oldest highland region in Canada,  hills,  created three hundred million years ago,  there is the beautiful Atlantic ocean as well

Eastern Economy McCain's started in the east coast and has spread through Canada

Eastern Economy Prince Edward Island is well known for its red soil, potatoes and oats.
