Presentation transcript:

Font Type and Size

Title Here, we can see a clear indication of how the different fonts can portray a different style of magazine. For example, Vogue appears to be quite elegant, also reflected in the image used and similar callout fonts and column inch. Oh My GOSH! is presented to be a children’s magazine, the font in a large size shows the childish theme, it also being in a thought bubble puff. The fact that the title on this magazine goes onto another line does make it look a lot less professional as you will never see other magazines do this.

Callout The Callout on Glamour magazine is a very typical and traditional style. ‘1,000 Men Confess’ is very large and different fonts to make it stand out and draw the audience in. Where as The Big Issue is different and untraditional with large big and bold fonts covering the page. Interview magazine is very simple and plain cover. It makes the audience intrigued into what’s actually in the magazine.

ColumnInchColumnInch I think that two out of the four column inches are descriptive because Wonderland magazine only lists names which doesn’t give you any idea of what could be inside. Also Source magazine does a very similar thing and lists four names of artists. On the other hand, Glamour magazine and Vogue magazine give you a small incite into the content of the magazine. They are all very short and are all about an inch wide, also they use a small and simple font which makes it look much more professional and formal.
