Trochanteric bursitis is a common regional pain syndrome which frequently simulates major hip diseases and low back pain. Symptoms include pain over the lateral hip area with occasional radiation of pain into the lateral thigh. Trochanteric bursitis can become a chronic issue after pregnancy. We treat pregnant women with the same symptoms/pain. Pregnant women develop trochanteric bursitis due to the change in angle of the pelvic girdle.

Start a program for pregnant women that works for all stages of pregnancy Create an after-hours environment to maximize participation Prevent trochanteric bursitis before it starts Treat symptoms of trochanteric bursitis Increase flexibility and stability of pelvic girdle Create a personal exercise program for mom to do on her own and spend more time treating the problem on site
