Geometry

 SS4 – Describe and construct rectangular and triangular prisms.  SS5 – Demonstrate an understanding of line of symmetry.  SS6 – Demonstrate an understanding of congruency, concretely and pictorially.

 The students started with a frame game, where they picked what shapes were congruent and not congruent.  We went to a game on the SMARTboard dealing with Similar and Congruent shapes.  congruent congruent

 We were reviewing for the Geometry Unit Test that was going to be happening that Friday.  What I did was capture the photo from the textbook and I put it into a Powerpoint presentation that could be seen on the Smartboard.  Going through each section I would take any questions the students had and if anyone does not understand something then I would stop and model the section for the class using geo-frame manipulatives.  Then I just said we were going to continue with the review the next day and answer any other questions the students had.
