Dr. Shears

 You are expected to behave as a young business professional! The following equipment guidelines should be followed at all times. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in immediate disciplinary action.

 Do not make screen adjustments (color, background, display, etc.)  Monitor should not be moved or adjusted.  Monitor should be plugged in at all times. DO NOT UNPLUG SOMEONE ELSE’S MONITOR.

 The keyboard should always be placed in front of the CPU—not in your lap. Do not unplug someone else’s keyboard.  Make sure your keyboard is positioned so that it will not fall off of the desk onto the floor.  No CDs are allowed in the CD-ROM drive.

 There are many cords underneath your computer desk. Because of this, your feet are to always remain on the floor.  Do not try to put paper into the printers unless the teacher has asked you to do so. Not following this guideline can jam the printers.

 NEVER eat or drink in the lab.  Do not stick pencils or pens into the CD drive or the floppy disk drive (or anywhere else for that matter…)

 Turn off your monitor. Move to the right side of the room up against the wall. DO NOT TALK. If you are out of the classroom when the Code Red is announced, go into the nearest classroom. Do not come back to mine! I will not let you in! I will turn the lights off and lock the door.

 Code Yellow: Door stays locked, but class can continue.  Fire Alarm: Very loud buzzing noise in sets of three. There may also be one long continuous bell.  Tornado Warning: Will be announced over the intercom. Go out into the hallway and face the lockers. Get as close to the lockers as you can and do not talk so that you can hear instruction.
