I is For… Current Word: Immersion Your Word: Immersion Why? Immersion…when I am in the classroom that is all I need to have on my mind. I need to devote my whole class time to teaching the topic. Planning ahead will ensure that all of my students with have full immersion in multiple areas of agriculture.
r is For… Current Word: Rapport Your Word: Rapport Why? Building relationships with my students is very important. I try to get to know each of my students and portray to each of them that they are important and I care about them. I want them to feel comfortable around me and want my classroom to feel like home to them.
a is For… Current Word: Ask and analyze Your Word: Ask and Analyze Why? For students to be engaged in the lesson, it is important to use this method. It helps students to gain a deeper understanding of the subject and helps me to see which areas are harder and need more focus.
t is For… Current Word: transformation Your Word: Technology Why? Technology runs our world today. I must keep up with the times in the classroom as well. There are so many different types of technology that I can use in my classroom to make learning fun and keep students interest especially for those hand-on learners.
e is For… Current Word: enthusiasm Your Word: Enthusiasm Why? Students respond to you when they can feel your interest/ love for the subject. If I don’t show my enthusiasm in everything I teach, my students won’t either and the class will feel like any other monotonous class they are required to take.
