What does “genre” mean? It is a French word meaning: a distinctive type or category of literary composition characterized by a particular style, form, or content ??? …… in other words A style of writing based on a theme

Fantasy titles:

MYSTERY a work of fiction involving: suspense solving a puzzling event or situation something unknown solving a crime centered around a person who investigates wrongdoing centered around a person or persons employed to obtain secret information

Mystery titles:

HISTORICAL FICTION a novel set back in time (more than 50 years) that is based around real events, real people or real situations.

Historical fiction titles:

REALISTIC FICTION stories that take place in modern times characters are involved in events that could happen. Real kids doing real things!

Realistic fiction titles:

SCIENCE FICTION stories that often tell about science and technology of the future involving partially true laws or theories of science Settings: in the future in space on a different world in a different universe or dimension
