6.11 Coordinate Plane and Enrichment 7.5 (+, -, x, / integers)

Pg 27 Practice Plot the coordinates A (-3,1) B (2,3) C (1,-2) D (-2, -3) Name the Coordinates A B C D Pg Coordinate Planes (infused) Directions- 1.Horizontal axis is X. Vertical axis is Y. Notice there is a quadrant for +x, -x, +y, and –y. 2.The center is the origin. It has the coordinates of (0,0). 3.This set of x and y values are called ordered pairs. 4.Plot X first, plot Y second 5.Where is (-3, 2) ?

Pg Practice = = (-3)= 4.8- (-2) (-3)= = 7.-4 x -2= /4= x -2= /-8= /-2= x -2= Directions 7.5 pg Combining Integers for a value- 1. Start with the first integer 2.If the second integer is negative or being subtracted, move to the left of the first integer on the number line. 3.If the second number is positive or being added, move to the right of the first integer on the number line. 4.If you have a negative being subtracted, - (-#), Then it changes to a positive. Multiplying and Dividing Integers 1. Positive and positive = positive 3 x 5 = 15 15/3= 5 2. Negative and negative = positive -3 x -5= 15-15/-3=5 3. Positive and negative = negative 3 x -5= /3=-5 TIP- if just one negative is in the mix, then the product or quotient is negative.
