1. Simple shapes are good shapes. 2. Fewer colors & fonts will maximize effect. 3. Plainer fonts are more memorable. 4. Black & white is as good as color... Or better. 5. “The Bat Man” first appeared in Comics in Today, he is just Batman. His logo has had many versions based on the same, simple form. Sometimes, it’s on a yellow background, representing moonlight or the yellow beam of a searchlight.
Sometimes letters... Sometimes peacocks... Sometimes both.

The logo is easily recognizable by its shape rather than its color.
These are Japanese kamon or family crests. They tend towards the simple.
Rectangles can be messed with. Chopped. Rounded.
Warped versions of the rectangle. Stars come in many shapes. And there are other shapes.
