Welcome to the Hedgehog Concept in Action A workshop to incorporate Jim Collins’ concept into operational decision making for the departments of Douglas County.

Passion is  Understanding what your department stands for (its core values) and why it exists (its mission or core purpose).

Best at is  Understanding what your department can uniquely contribute to the people of the county, better than any other department.

Time: how many hours can your people commit to in a day/week/year? Money: Has your budget been set and if so does it allow for adjustment? Organizational Image: Does your department’s image attract the employees you need?
