Content Language Objective Students analyze in speaking and writing various literary and poetic elements of a text, using academic vocabulary (tone, connotation, figurative language, imagery, theme, etc.), with: Annotations Graphic Organizer (TP-CASTT) Collaboration

Preparation for literary analysis essay: You have been given 5 texts—3 poems and 2 prose pieces. You are to thoroughly prepare 3 of those with the appropriate graphic organizer—TP-CASTT or SIFT (note: you can not choose all 3 poems) These organizers will be turned in and graded.
