26 Apr. 07 ILCSC-MAC, FNAL Global Design Effort 18 World Premier International Research Center A new fund starting (second half of) JFY2007 to create top-level 5 research centers with a size of 200 researcher/post docs/engineers/staffs. At least 30% of researchers are expected to come from abroad. Official language is English B¥/year x 10 years (mainly personnel), can be extended up to 15 years. More than 50 proposals seems to be submitted. KEK is now preparing a proposal to be submitted at the end of May. Tentative title of the proposal is “International Center for Frontier and Innovation of Accelerator Science and Technology”. Main objective is to develop advanced accelerator technologies; SC RF acceleration and low emittance beam source/control. We plan to implement ILC activities into this program as much as possible. Strong suppor and participation from ILC community is highly welcome.
