Marijuana Marijuana is 4 times more cancer causing than tobacco  Does this seem right? Aka: chronic, weed, 420, blunt, ganga, pot How it’s taken: smoked or eaten

Marijuana Effects: increased heart rate, bloodshot eyes, dry mouth, increased appetite, short term memory loss, birth defects, and immune system deficiencies

lsd The high is called a “trip” Can cause severe thoughts and feelings, muscle weakness, impaired motor skills, lack of concentration These effects begin within minutes and last 6-8 hours It is not physically addictive, but can be psychologically addictive

PCP Phencyclidine Formerly used as an anesthetic agent Aka: Angel dust, dust, synthetic marijuana, boat, zombie, killer weed, crystal Comes in White powder, tablet, or capsules Can be take: orally, snorted, smoked or injected

Can cause speech disturbances, increased blood pressure and heart rate, agitation, delusions These effects begin within 30 minutes and the “high” lasts 4-6 hours, and the effects decline within 24 hours. It is physically and psychologically addictive

Ecstacy Stimulant and hallucinogen Taken in pill form Aka: XTC, adam, x, E, bean Is it addictive? Possibly

Affects: mood, aggression, sexual activity, sleep, insomnia, increased blood pressure and heart rate, sensitivity to pain Causes: memory loss, hyperthermia (cooks your body and your brain), anxiety These effects begin within minutes and typically last 3-6 hours

Mushroom Dried mushrooms or capsules are taken orally. Aka: shrooms, magic mushrooms, caps, boomers, fungus

Can cause facial numbness, abdominal cramping, hallucinations, impaired memory. These effects typically begin within 3-6 hours of ingestion. It is neither physically or psychologically addictive

CODEINE Narcotics Morphine Heroin Methadone

Heroin Comes from poppy plant Can be injected, smoked, or snorted Can cause infections to the heart and lungs, and veins to collapse = death
