The Trenton War By: Chuy Parra, Casey Venzke, Edgar Cruz

Setting It took place in New Jersey on the Delaware on December 25, It was Americans against Hessians and British troops

Beginning of the War The British troops were celebrating with there families. And out of no where they were assigned to move out to war. They were unprepared for what was coming next.

Key Events Washington had 4,707 troops for this duty at the end of the year it reduced to 1,500 troops. George Washington wanted to cross the Delaware river and attack them on Christmas but the weather had a affect on it and they couldn't attack till the 26th. No Americans were killed but 4 wounded the British had 22 killed and 92 wounded

Crossing the Delaware River George Washington was to cross the river the 26 of December and planned to catch the British soldiers off guard. Then they came into the town of Trenton they had 2 cannons on King Street and Queen Street the two main routes out of town. The war lasted 90 minutes

Key people George Washington was the General of the American group. Hessian commander was Colonel Rahl John Fitzgerald one of Washington's aides

Outcome It was won by General Washington and his troops
