Quarter One Review tomorrow Thursday, October 2, 2014

Homework Check, page 32 (1-10)

1. On the last day of January the temperature was 14°F at 8 A.M. A cold front came through and at 3 P.M. the temperature had dropped to -3°F. What was the difference in temperature from 8 A.M. to 3 P.M?

2. Carla has $300 in her bank account. This week she deposited $50. On Friday she wrote a check for $15 and withdrew $25 to have cash for the weekend. How much money does Carla have in her account now?

3. The temperature on the first day of October began rising at 8 A.M. By 12 P.M. the temperature had risen 32°. What was the average change in temperature per hour?

5. The temperature at 6 A.M. was -6°C. The temperature increased 25°C between 6AM and noon, but then had dropped 12°C by 10 P.M. What was the temperature at 10 P.M.?

13. Simplify the expression: (10 – 3 2 )

1. 14-(-3)= $300+$50=$350-$15=$335-$25= $ am-12pm=4 hours 32/4= 8 hours x 11 = $14.82 $50.00-$14.82= $ =19-27= 7 degrees 6. This fraction is NOT Equivalent because a negative divided by a negative is a positive = =12/8= 1.5 running distance per week 9. -3, -, 0, 0.25, Answers
