1 Journey To Excellence: A path of continuous improvement

Objectives Understand the 2015 Journey to Excellence requirements. Become familiar with and recognize what information the insight reports tell about a lodge. Realize why these requirements are important to the continuous improvement efforts of a lodge. Use the outputs of the Journey to Excellence Insights to create a plan for improvement.

Journey Definition: A course taken or direction travelled. Improvement is continuous, not an end goal.

Why JTE? Gives lodges areas to focus on. Dynamic – changes every year to foster continuous improvement and growth. Raises the bar – it’s difficult to succeed in all of the requirements! Insights reports – show lodges how they are doing.
