ALL ABOUT ME Promise Jalloh Oct. 21, 2015
MY LIFE I was born on August 9, 2003 in Atlanta, Georgia at Grady Hospital. I lived in Clarkston, GA until I moved here with my Family. In my family, I have my parents, my 2 brothers, and my dog. My parents are from Africa and both came here when they were 16. My first brother was born in 2011 and my second was born in My parents got my doggy when he was only one month, back in His birthday is in June. There are many African traditions my parents follow. For example, all us kids have to have at least one African name. My African name is my middle name. One cool fact about me is I have the same birthday as Whitney Houston.
When I grow up I want to be a Surgeon. I want to study at Emory University. There are many different types of surgeons like Neurosurgeons, Oncologists, and even Orthopedic surgeons. My mom currently works at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She always tells me to do my best to get on the right path, the path of Success. My dad is a Truck driver, but he is also considered a professional driver. Many surgeons around here earn a lot of money, and to be truthful, that’s also what I want. I want to be able to provide as much for my future family as I can.
MY HOBBIES Many of my hobbies include: Reading Singing Playing violin Gaming Eating, Sleeping………, Breathing. JK, But, I also like playing soccer and cooking.
My Favorite subject in school is Reading. I am a very skilled reader and taught myself how to read at 3 years old. I currently read on a grade level. My mom and dad grew up in an environment where getting an education was tough. I always read to them, my little brothers, and even my dog. My favorite books are novels where the heroine usually makes a big difference in her community. She usually lives in a big city like New York, so that’s a big community!
The person I admire the most is definitely my Mother and believe it or not, most of the male teachers in my life. My mom always tells me to do my best and whenever I do, she is serious about it, but always praises me. My favorite thing about her is she never gives up and if someone pushes her down, she doesn’t go down. She rises right up and makes a big impact. I once said I hated her and that was far from the truth…I was just really angry. My 3 rd and 5 th grade teachers are both male and they are the best teachers I have ever had. All the rest of my teachers are female. Mr. Jones and Mr. Harris (Respectively) are teachers that have made a big impact in my life. Mr. Jones told my mom to make sure I go to a good school and get the best education I can get. He was such a great teacher that my mom got him a present for Christmas. Mr. Harris taught me not to procrastinate as much as I do and then I will be top rank. Trust me, I took that advice!
FAVORITES My Five Favorite Things are: My Favorite food is Chicken. I am not a stereotype, but come on, it’s amazing! My Favorite Colors are Purple, Blue, Green, and Pink. I even have a favorite type of house, and that is inverted, or modern ranches. I love Sara Bareilles. She is my Queen and always will be.
I have always dreamed of growing up and traveling around the world. When I get my job and then retire, I want to travel around the entire world, but not every city. My favorite examples: NYC, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Vietnam, United Arab Emirates, Tel Aviv, Germany, The Netherlands, and the most amazing place in the world, France. My dad likes to teach me how to speak French, and Arabic is one of the languages that my family speaks.
