 Nothing in history has had as dramatic of an effect on communication as the Internet.  Instant access to information of all kinds is only a “click’ away. next To Forward or Not To Forward?

 Likewise , Facebook, Twitter and the other “social networking web sites”  allow us to instantly convey our every thought and notion  to people we know and  to those we don’t. next To Forward or Not To Forward?

 One of the easiest, and let me suggest  deadliest when not in good humor or with the intent to lift others up,  is the ability in instantly “forward” messages. next To Forward or Not To Forward?

 With the ability to instantly send s that “seem good”  because they seem to support our own predispositions on values and ideas,  we far too often are promulgating half truths and deliberate lies. next To Forward or Not To Forward?

 The result is  slandering of people and  twisting the truth,  in ways we may not realize. next To Forward or Not To Forward?

 Fundamental to Democracy Working is People Thinking.  Demigods and tyrants thrive on  feeding propaganda to the populace and  keeping the people ignorant of the truth. next To Forward or Not To Forward?

 So, before you forward that next that “feels right”  and seems to be in sync with your personal beliefs and feelings,  take a moment and apply the Rotary 4-Way Test. next To Forward or Not To Forward?

 Of the things we think, say or do, OR FORWARD BY , ask youself *  Is it the TRUTH?  Is it FAIR to all concerned?  Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?  Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?  (*) underlined added by H.
