W EATHER D ATA Meteorologists-are scientists who study weather Meteorologists observe and collect data on the condition of the Earth’s atmosphere. They use this information to make weather predictions. Meteorologists measure and records: 1. Air temperature 2. Air pressure 3. Humidity 4. Wind direction and speed 5. Precipitation

U Psychrometer- relative humidity Barometer-air pressure Anemometer-wind speed and direction Hygrometer- humidity Thermometer- air temperature Rain Gauge- Precipitation

CLIMATE State of the atmosphere over a long period of time There are many different climates all over Earth. Earth has 3 major climate zones. 1. Tropical Zone (Hot-found near the Equator) 2. Temperate Zone (Mild-Experiences all seasons) 3. Polar Zone (Cold/Frigid) These zones are determined by latitude, or their relation to the equator.
