The simple past is used to express past actions. Structure: verb complement. in past In this tense is common to use words like yesterday, last week (month-year). Words that express past.

EXAMPLES: I broke my leg last year. We had a party last weekend. Robert played with his dog yesterday.

Exercise: Change this sentences to past. Note: Don’t forget to use the verb in past tense. EXAMPLE: I (work) worked in an office 2 years ago. You (be) _________in first grade last year.
