Date/reference/classification SIGNIFICANT EVENTS Violence in Qatif:  Shia teenager killed at check point on 20 November.  Several people wounded in demonstrations on 21 November.  Four people killed during demonstrations.  Representative of MOI says clashes in Eastern Province instigated by “Foreign elements.” International Atomic Energy Agency report on nuclear activity by Iran released and numerous reactions. New Ministry of Defense Minister, Prince Salman conducts review/staff visits of armed forces. 5

Situation in Yemen:  Ali Abdullah Saleh signs agreement in Riyadh to transfer power to his deputy.  Demonstrations and violence continue. Syria despite Arab League attempted mediation/sanctions continues to experience violence. 6

Following the membership update, Riyadh OSAC has a confirmed membership of 288 members as of 10 th December Do you know of anyone that would find membership of OSAC a benefit to their business? Let us know so we can add them! Criteria for membership: Membership in OSAC Saudi Arabia will be limited to US and British Companies. Companies of other countries may be asked to participate in meetings to receive and contribute pertinent information. Membership in OSAC Saudi Arabia will be limited to US and British Companies. All US and British companies and companies that are Saudi owned, but have US and British employees will be offered membership in OSAC Saudi Arabia It’s that time of year when the majority of contracts end, please let us know if you, or any member you know, is leaving.
