Poetry Publishing Party! Please join us tomorrow, Friday, February 19 th at 10:45am. I am excited for you to see what poets we have in 3 rd Grade. Students have been busy publishing all week. They can’t wait for our Poetry Reading tomorrow when you will be invited to read their anthologies of poems. See you then! FIELD TRIP!!! We are going on a Field Trip to The Snakes Alive Exhibition in Reno! It will be next Wednesday, 2/24. The bus will leave at 8:15 am sharp and return at 2:20 pm. Please be sure to send your child with a sack lunch More information is on the back! A special Thank you to Mrs. Covian for making all the arrangements! Reading Workshop: We will be wrapping up our research next week. Students are now learning to research with a more worldly view. Students will be comparing and contrasting their two animals while thinking about problems that their animals be facing along with possible solutions. Writing Workshop: Next week begin our journey into Opinion Writing! Students will learn how to Change the World through petition writing. Amazing what third graders can do when they are determined Math: Multiplication and division continues! This too will be completed next week when we take our assessment to show just how much has been learned. Next up will be Area and multiplication. Mrs. B’s Incentive Competiton Congratulations! The 2 nd and 6 th grade classes are in a tie-breaker week for Mrs. B’s special incentive! Thank you for working hard to have zero tardies and only excused absences.
