Always carry with 2 hands as shown Only use lens paper for cleaning Do not force knobs Keep scope set back from edge of desk Keep objects clear of cords
Eyepiece - ocular Body Tube Revolving Nosepiece Arm Objective Lens Scan, Low, High Stage Stage Clips Coarse Focus Fine Focus Base Diaphragm (light control) Light
Carefully get scope to lab bench Turn Nosepiece to scan objective Raise stage all the way up Place the Slide on the Microscope Use Stage Clips Look into the Eyepiece (no Popeye!!) Use the Coarse Focus knob
Follow steps to focus using low power Once image is in focus, then turn the nosepiece to the high power objective Do NOT use the Coarse Focusing Knob (breakage!!) Use the Fine Focus Knob only to focus the image
