Sportsmanship 1. Only cheer on winning shots 2. Do not cheer on unforced errors 3. Do not talk to the competitors while they are on the court 4. Do not assist in keeping score, even if asked Ask a coach if you are unsure
Dress and Uniform Practice – Weather appropriate clothing, pants/shorts with pockets Matches – Black shorts with pockets or black skirt – Correct/Team identifying shirt
Cell Phones Turned off or silent during matches and practices Acceptable uses: – Calling for rides – Informing parents of court sites – Change of court site Ask a coach before using your phone
Medical Conditions Inform a coach about specific medical conditions – Allergies – Asthma – Other
Social Media Policy Players and parents will refrain from posting anything (updates, pictures, etc.) on any social media platform that portrays Mandan High School tennis in a negative manner. First violation will result in not playing the next match or tournament. Second violation will result in dismissal from the team.

Varsity Matches 18 scheduled matches(9 Varsity, 9 JV) Varsity plays first, then JV – Varsity Singles #1-6 – JV Singles #7-12 ≈1 hour after Varsity match begins – Varsity Doubles – JV Doubles Exhibition matches are possible for JV2 players All players stay until the last match is finished and courts are picked up
Trips Time to bond and have fun Match time = total concentration Remember, we are representing our families, school, and city
Lettering Criteria A player letters if she: – Plays in a Varsity match during the season – Earns a letter determined by the coaches
