Reality – no one wants a pipeline on their property  What are we (industry, government, public) doing to aid the discussions? –FERC Pre-filing process –PHMSA – CATS involvement & PAP  But how do we discuss the hard issues? –Fear, mistrust, misinformation  How do we say no? Or yes? 2

So how do we change/manage perception?  Education –Overcoming fear – Is that the only real issue?  Integrity –ALWAYS tell the truth (goes both ways)  Follow through –Do what you say you’re going to do (and in a timely manner)  Understanding and respecting each others’ perspective ( two sides to every story ) 3
